About Soterna

Trust should never be an assumption

An organisation is not safe because few reports come in. It is safe when people dare to speak up and leaders can listen before a situation escalates.

That sounds obvious. In practice, it is not.

What guides us

Trust begins before the report

These principles shape how we build Soterna and the new standard we aim to set for workplace trust technology.

Designed for the moment of doubt

The most important moment often comes before someone speaks. We design not only for the report, but for the uncertainty, hesitation and need for a safe first step that come before it.

Trust, engineered

Trust should never depend on good intentions alone. We build it into the architecture, the choices people are given and the safeguards that protect them when it matters most.

Insight without exposure

Organisations need to understand where trust is under pressure without exposing the people behind a signal. Soterna turns privacy-safe patterns into insights leaders can act on responsibly.

Soterna is not about collecting as many reports as possible. It is about earlier sight, better protection and more careful action.

Why Soterna exists

Social safety deserves the same governance rigour as cybersecurity

Organisations have professionalised their digital, financial and legal risks. Social safety often lags behind. Responsibilities are spread across HR, compliance, confidential advisers and separate procedures, while coherence and early insight are missing.

As a result, what is happening below the surface often reaches the board only once talent leaves, absence rises, teams stall or conflicts end in investigations, legal proceedings and reputational damage. By then the consequences are greater and there is less room to act with care.

What an organisation does not hear in time, it cannot manage in time.

Soterna was founded on the conviction that this can be fundamentally different. We are building European trust infrastructure that brings safe advice and reporting routes, conflict-free referral, careful follow-up and privacy-safe governance information together in one platform.

That helps organisations organise their duty of care demonstrably, protect valuable talent and act earlier when trust comes under pressure, without exposing individual employees unnecessarily.

The vision behind Soterna was shaped in part by my work at the intersection of information management, privacy, cybersecurity and governance. There I saw what becomes possible when complex risks are not treated as isolated incidents, but organised structurally: from clear responsibility, reliable information and technology designed with care from the ground up.

Our ambition is clear: to develop social safety from a reactive HR file into a full part of good governance and organisational resilience.
