1. Why there is nothing to dismiss here

A cookie banner exists to ask consent for cookies that are not needed to make a website work. We do not place those. There are no advertising cookies, no social media pixels and no tracking cookies on this site, and our visitor counter works without a cookie. So there is nothing to ask.

2. Necessary cookies

This website only places functional first-party cookies, and only where they are genuinely needed:

• a few short-lived login and session cookies that are only placed when an administrator of this website logs in to the CMS or sets up MFA. They expire within minutes up to at most 8 hours, or when the administrator logs out. Regular visitors do not receive these cookies.

If you opt out of the statistics, your browser remembers that locally. That is the only thing we leave on your device, and only at your request.

3. Visit statistics without a cookie

We count which pages are visited, with what kind of device and from which source, so that we know what is useful and what is not. For this we use Plausible Analytics, a European service that processes and stores the data in the EU.

What this means in practice:

• no cookie is placed, nothing is written to browser storage and no persistent identifier is created;
• your browser sends the count itself, so Plausible receives your IP address and which browser you use along with it. That is technically unavoidable for any connection;
• your IP address is not stored there. It is converted once into an unreadable value that expires every 24 hours, solely to avoid counting a repeat visit within a day twice;
• visits cannot be traced back to you and are not linked to forms you fill in or to data you send us;
• personal links, such as the one to your own survey page or to a booked appointment, are made unrecognisable before they are counted. The key in such a link does not leave your browser.

4. Third-party scripts

This website loads no scripts from advertising networks, social media platforms or similar parties. The counter is not an external script either: it is built into the website itself. Only the count goes to Plausible, with the data listed under point 3. Nothing you fill in or send on this site reaches them.

There is one exception, at the bottom of every page: the DigiCert seal. It shows that this site’s security certificate was issued by DigiCert and is valid, and it is fetched from DigiCert itself. In doing so, DigiCert sees your IP address, your browser, the time and the fact that you visited this website. Not which page you are viewing. The seal sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser. On pages that carry a personal link, such as your own survey page or a booked appointment, the seal is deliberately not loaded at all.
